From Ohio tracks to national titles, one young rider is already chasing pro-level dreams
At just 11 years old, Coy Jackson is already riding far ahead of kids his age — and even many adults — in the high-octane world of quad motocross racing. The Barnesville, Ohio native just wrapped up a jaw-dropping season, competing in 16 races and winning 13 of them, a performance that crowned him both an Ohio state champion and a national champion in the 70 shifter class for the 2025 season.
For Coy, winning is more than trophies and titles — it’s about mindset, focus, and loving every second on the track.
“It feels great to just be up there in front, too, and just ride your race and finish the race and go off the track with a good mindset,” Jackson said. “It feels nice. I put a lot of hard work in, and it feels nice to win.”
That confidence didn’t come overnight. Coy’s motocross journey started almost as soon as he could reach the handlebars.
“I was 4 years old when I started racing, and I was 5 years old when I started racing nationals. And ever since the,n I’ve loved the sport and kept going,” he said.
Behind every great racer is a great support system — and Coy is quick to credit his family, especially his older brother Cash, who paved the way with his own championship success.
“They do a lot behind the scenes,” Jackson said of his family. “My brother started racing before me… I always looked up to him. He’s a good rider. He’s won two national championships, and I’ve always looked up to him.”
With the 2026 season set to begin in March, Coy is already focused on what’s next: sharpening his skills, chasing more titles, and one day lining up with the pros. For a kid who’s already dominating state and national stages, that dream doesn’t feel far away at all.
Watching a kid this young race with such discipline, humility, and passion is inspiring — Coy Jackson isn’t just winning races, he’s building the kind of foundation that champions are made of. If he keeps riding with this heart and focus, the professional podium may be calling his name sooner than anyone expects.
