Mom had a total freak out when her son tapped her on the shoulder
A Nigerian Betty Udofiah’s priceless reaction after her son, Abasiono Udofiah, who serves in the US Marine, paid her a surprise visit. Betty hadn’t seen her son in over a year. And in the best way possible. Betty missed her son so much that she basically created a shrine for him in her home.
“He’s not going to be here, why don’t we put more pictures so when the family comes they can see his picture and know he’s doing well, he’s serving the country and we miss him. So, we did that,” she said.
Abasiono also missed his mom so much that he wanted to make his homecoming extra special by surprising his mom. “I had all my sisters and my brother in on it and I tell them when I tell mom I’m coming home, when I’m going to go home, I’m going to surprise her,” he said.
On the secret homecoming day, everyone was gathering around for a family picture, Betty was smiling and laughing and enjoying family time there.
She was then totally freaked out that her son tapped her on the shoulder when he appeared through the doorway. Her reaction was quite emotional. She was totally unsuspecting to see her son there.
“The next thing I saw was somebody tapping me, I felt somebody tapping me on my shoulder and say “mom,” Betty recalls. “And I turned around and it was my son. Oh my god, I flipped out. I didn’t know how to react.”
She kept letting them out as she just put her hand to her mouth in disbelief. She was still sitting on the couch just shaking her leg and screaming “wow, wow, wow” over and over again. it didn’t really sound like your typically happy scream, though she was overwhelming. It actually sounded more like a scream you’d hear in a horror movie.
This went on for at least half a minute to a full minute before she rolled over on the side of the couch and then rolled back into an upright position while still screaming the entire time.
She finally got up, but she didn’t embrace her son right away. She just stares at him, holding his hand while she screamed at him. She finally went in for a hug but, yes, she was still screaming “wow” and was wailing it into his ear. She stepped back to look at him again while holdings his hands and kept screaming “wow.”
She went in for a second hug. And, yup, she was still shaking and screaming. She then stepped back to finally catch her breath. Next, she had a bone to pick with her kids who played such a big trick on her.
