Van Halen was an American rock band formed in Pasadena, California in 1974.
Credited with “restoring hard rock to the forefront of the music scene”, Van Halen is known for its energetic live shows and for the virtuosic talent of its prodigy lead-guitarist, Eddie Van Halen. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
“Can’t Stop Lovin’ You” is a song by American hard rock band Van Halen. It was released in 1995 as the third single from their tenth album Balance. The song emerged after producer Bruce Fairbairn asked for a more pop-oriented song. Instead of searching for his archives, Eddie Van Halen decided to write new music from scratch. The song was written by all members of Van Halen and pays homage to Ray Charles’ song “I Can’t Stop Loving You”, particularly in the line where Sammy Hagar sings “Hey Ray, what you said is true…”
