A Warm Gift of Hope in Colorado Springs
When the temperatures drop and the holidays approach, kindness shines brightest. This year, Around the Clock Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, & Electric continued a beautiful tradition of giving—one that warms far more than homes.
On Sunday, Nov. 23, the company once again stepped forward for its third annual Thanksgiving giveaway at the Tejon Park-N-Ride in Colorado Springs. There, team members and volunteers distributed hot meals, bottled water, winter clothing, and hygiene kits to community members struggling with homelessness or hardship. Their mission was simple yet powerful: to offer warmth, comfort, and dignity to neighbors who need it most.
“I think every company should be doing this,” said Jose Anon, owner of Around the Clock. “Every business here in the Springs should be out. No matter what kind of company you have, you should be coming out and trying to help out the unfortunate and do something to make a change in the city.”
The company also announced an additional Thanksgiving giveaway in downtown Colorado Springs, held Sunday, Nov. 23, from noon to 3 p.m. There, employees and volunteers continued distributing prepared hot meals, bottled water, winter essentials, and hygiene kits—ensuring that anyone in need could find warmth, nourishment, and support as winter settles in.
“Volunteering reminds us that a few hours and a hot meal can make someone’s day a little easier,” said Brandon Driscoll, operations manager, Around the Clock Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, and Electric. “It also strengthens our team, giving employees a chance to serve together and support the neighbors we see every day.”
More than 100 people received essential items and a hot meal thanks to these efforts. The company also encouraged community involvement, inviting anyone wishing to contribute food, water, or on-site support to coordinate donations by calling (719) 602-2822.
These events serve as a reminder that even a simple act of generosity—one warm meal, one pair of gloves, one gesture of care—can restore hope in challenging times.
What Around the Clock is doing goes beyond holiday cheer. It represents what true leadership looks like in a community: stepping up, showing up, and uplifting others. Their continued commitment highlights the power of compassion in action, and their call for other businesses to join them is a message worth hearing. If more organizations embraced this level of heart and service, cities everywhere would feel the difference.
