Three Women Solved Clues and Discovered Hidden Prize Wallet
“Believe it or not, the wallet has been found!”
Those were the exciting words from the Bank of Utah after a treasure hunt came to a thrilling end in Herriman. Three women—Stazie Rigby, Koaly Bates, and Jennete Boone—teamed up as the “Killpack girls” and found a hidden wallet with a $10,000 prize inside!
But that’s not all—the bank also promised to donate another $10,000 to a charity of the winners’ choice. That means their discovery didn’t just change their lives, but it will also help make the world a little brighter for others.
The treasure hunt wasn’t easy. The Bank of Utah released clues, almost like riddles, to guide searchers to the right spot. One clue talked about “giants that bookend a city,” which meant the Wasatch and Oquirrh Mountains that surround Salt Lake Valley. Another clue mentioned “CUban with Thomas and Henry,” pointing to copper mines and Herriman’s founders, Henry Herriman and Thomas Butterfield. There were even puzzles about “black hoppers” (which meant trees) and a secret cipher code that led to Yellow Fork Canyon.
Finally, on the Butter Knife Trail, the women found a rock shaped like an “eye.” When they looked through the hole, they spotted a pile of rocks with a small cave. Inside, the wallet was waiting!
The Killpack girls had truly “found the one”—the single wallet that everyone was searching for.
I think this story is amazing because it shows teamwork, problem-solving, and a little bit of luck. It’s cool that the prize wasn’t just money for the winners but also support for a charity. Finding “the one” in this case meant discovering not just treasure, but also a way to share kindness.
