“Big Deal, Big Wheel” is the theme this year at the Sandi Tree festival
The holidays are here, and downtown West Palm Beach will be in the spotlight in a way that only the city can do it.
The city will come together for the annual tree lighting of Sandi Tree.
Sandi, the world’s only 35-foot, 700-ton holiday sand tree, made its 11th-year return for the Clematis by Night Holiday Tree lighting on Dec. 1.
It is featured as part of the city’s Holiday in Paradise festivities on the Great Lawn at Centennial Park at Clematis Street and Narcissus Avenue downtown.
Each year, Sandi has a different theme–the 2022 theme being “Big Deal, Big Wheel”. This comes from Sandi Land taking the #1 spot in USA Today’s ‘Best Public Holiday Lights Display’ contest of 2021. And of course, the newest addition of the Ferris wheel.
You may want to check out the Ferris wheel during the show because, for the first year, the lights will shine so brightly that you’ll be able to see it in plain view from the very top of the Ferris wheel.
If you need to knock out some holiday shopping there, you’ll be able to find unique, handmade items at the holiday boutique.
The fun will kick off at 6 p.m. and will go on until 10 p.m. every night through New Year’s Eve.
