“Bear” Bryant on overcoming adversity
This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it or I can use it for good. What I do today is very important because I’m exchanging the day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever… You’ve got to be better in all three areas of life, which of course are spiritual, mental, and physical… There are certain sacrifices that you will have to make there are going to be many sacrifices you have to make in later life. To fight. The fight, I don’t mean fistfight. I mean to get up and come back and get up and come back and get up and come back again after you’ve been knocked down. And that could happen to you in later life.
