Encounter between man and deer serves as a reminder to preserve wildlife
A man wakes up one day to the sound of a bawling deer in his yard. The man lives in a wide and peaceful area, where deer are quite common. Unfortunately, one white-tailed doe had gotten her hoof stuck in the upper part of a wooden fence, and was hanging there, crying out in pain. The man tried to pull the doe’s hoof upward, but it was too tight and heavy for him. So, he put his phone down with its camera pointing towards them, then slowly approached the deer in the back.
This time, he tried breaking the fence to open the way to get the stuck hoof out. The doe never tried to struggle and was instead just hanging on the fence, hoping to get out. The man finally broke the plank, and the deer dropped down to the ground. The doe ran back to her home, and the video of the rescue went viral after being featured.
In the video, the man is heard telling the doe, “We’ll get you out, okay?” He patiently works on finding the best approach to free the deer, and when he finally succeeds, he encourages the deer, saying “That’s something you don’t see every day.”
